Hints:

• Look at the text & read all the questions before you start answering them (5 minutes)
• Look at how many marks each question is worth - that’s how many minutes you should spend on each one. (e.g. 4 marks = 4 minutes)
• Use the language of semiotics within your answer – don’t just limit your vocabulary to the terms used in the question.
• For questions which are worth up to 6 marks, it is fine to answer using bullet points if you prefer.
• Have a go at every question, even if you feel you are guessing.
• Do not spend more than 25 mins on this question. You can always return to it at the end of the exam if you have a few minutes left over.
